I just received my Turbines yesterday, and I'm burning them in now. I tried the larger triple-flange tips that came with my Turbines, but they are too large. I tried to put on the smaller triple-flange tips that were supplied, but I can't get them over the tube on the Turbines. Has anyone else had this problem? Anyone have any solutions?

Also, does anyone know what size Comply foam tips fit the Turbines? On the Comply website they don't even list the Turbines. I'd like to try the Comply tips to see how comfortable they are.

Since they're dynamic driver phones I would guess Comply T400's but really I'm not sure.

T400s work fine, but may muffle the highs and mids a bit.

the triple flange just needs a bit of coaxing. the turbine needs better ear tips: it is attrocious to not have foamies. though i find the silicon flanges among the most comfortable flange i have tried.

agreed with shigzeo, but I've gotten used to the silicones, plus as I've mentioned I use the reverse mod on them so that they fit flush into my ears and its easier to wear them over the ears. When I do that, I don't feel them at all except I magically have music comming into my ears. Its not as comfortable as say the se530's or W3's but pretty damn close to me. As for the comply tips, whatever fits on the IE8 should fit on them and I do believe they are the T400's that Zalithian mentioned.

Actually, the T-400s are listed as the tips for the Turbines on the Comply website. Go to http://www.complyfoam.com/foam-replacement-tips/, select Monster under "Brand" and then you should see Turbine under "Model".

Call up Bay and Bloor Radio, I know they carry some of the tips for IEM's (though not 100% sure whether they carry complys or not... well, doesn't hurt to try).

Thanks for the tip, I was actually looking at their site earlier but wasn't sure if they were overpriced like most specialty stores in Toronto . ex. Moog Audio

Both the small and large tri-flange doesn't fit me. I just use the stock Medium bulb eartips they provided.

I'm dying to try these Complys. I wonder if I can find them locally...

First Problem (under 2 weeks): the cable shroud or covering is splitting away from it's internals.

Here's some pics:

I emailed MacMall (where I purchased from) in hopes of an exchange. If that fails, I'm off to complaining to Noel Lee at the Monster Headquarters (I live like 10 minute drive from their main HQ). Any ideas what I should do now?

wow thats bad, i tried pulling on my 2 turbines and they where strong and did not rip like that. how did that happen?

I'm having a comfort issue with the turbines. The back end of the iem's (the part that looks like the monster rca adapter plug) rubs on the inside outer of my ear - when i have them in place in my ear canal, the back end is pressed firmly against the cartilage. This begins to wear after 30min or so. Most iem's have rounded back ends, and do not do this. I'll prob have to grind them down to make them work.

No cable strain relief. I noticed that there is no strain relief on the terminal end of the cable (3.5mm end). This is a place waiting to break. I think i'll put some heat shrink tubing around it to provide some relief.
