I feel stupid in asking, but what is FR.

Yes, as much tube as is not in the way will allow treble to go through better. Treble does not go through sound absorbing material as well, so a clear path is best.

Yeh, thats what I meant. Sorry, just too lazy to spell it out. Anyway, just thought I'd share this experience as a few have complained that the turbines are a little dark. It also reduces the profile a bit.

they are not bright if you compare them to pfe or ety, but i found them perfectly smooth in the treble with foam tips which also dissipated the bass a bit.

Has anyone paired the Turbines up with the FiiO E5 portable Amp? Any improvement? I'm thinking about getting one but I'm sure if the Turbines would actually need it.

ive never heard an earphone or headphone that did not benefit from amping. however, in the end, i gave up amping as it is just... too much stuff to carry around. but the turbine benefit too.

Anyone else have this strange problem, whe i have the turbine in my ear and im sitting, ill stand up and hear this static noise or crackles for a second and when i sit back down it happens again.

depends on what clothes i am wearing. particularly with woolen clothes, any headphones i wear pick up static. winter listening is very hard. but with any phones. if you only experience it with the turbine, then i don't know.

i had just a tshirt on, and it happens only with the turbines, maybe because they have something in the wire?
