I have had too many friends and acquaintances pass up concerts because of money or their schedule. To all you young ones out there, you never regret the concerts you do go to. I have been to hundreds of shows, including almost all my favorites. I drove hundreds of miles to see Radiohead and Phish, I flew across country to see Tom Waits. Ive been to 5 Bonnaroos, Woodstock 99, and a music fest in Atlanta. This was while living in Michigan.

Go to EVERY show you think you might enjoy.

At this point I think only Cecil Taylor is the guy I need to see. Wouldnt mind a sober Ryan Adams show.

Yes you do. They are beyond incredible live.

I would love to see Porcupine Tree live. Tis a shame they don't seem to even remotely like the SE US, much like pretty much every band that I want to see live. I would have loved to see Dream Theater with the setlist they had for "Live at Budokan". After Systematic Chaos though, I am not too wild about seeing them anymore.

Dang Chripsy, that was one heck of a thread bump you pulled there.

I have been fortunate to have seen most all my favorites and lots of other shows. I was a 70s genre kid so most of my bands are on the Geritol tour. I would rather not see that.

If the next fest is in Chitown, Buddy Guy has a blues bar on the near northside. Definately worth it to go. He does make suprise appearances. Good BBQ too.
