Debating between custom tips & custom case IEMs - help me decide!

Given: one broken set of Shure 530 IEMs coming to my house + possibly one set of TF10s.

Choices:

1 - Custom tips + custom recabling. Total cost excluding impressions for Shure 530s = 100 + 130 + ~40 bucks for impressions. = ~270. For TF10s, it should be about 200 dollars total.

Waiting time = at least 4 weeks

2 - Custom case (Acrylic) + custom recable. Total cost = 200 + ~40 bucks for impressions.

Waiting time = No more than 4 weeks

Pros of 1: Resell value in the future. Supposed better cable (its from null-audio, if anyone knows of any place else where I can recable them for cheaper, I'm all ears )

Pros of 2: little bit cheaper & can do custom work on it. Less uglier than TF10s.

What would you choose? I'm leaning towards #1 for the Shures and #2 for the TF10s... I've never seen anyone wear TF10s with custom eartips o.o

Thanks in advance!!

I'm guessing many people don't have experiences w/ custom re-casings & tips.

But I'll bump it once anyways
