Hi,
Does anyone provide a service for replacing/ mod'ing the Shure E500 cable with a good quality cable, from both physical form of cable and sound Q aspect's?
I have had the pair of Shure E500's which have had the notorious cable splitting issue and they are out of warranty, but Shure want £162 for a part exchange for a new pair as Shure say the E500's are not servicable/repairable.
( i know Shure changed the cable chemical compound in the last 6-8 month's and all but am wary of a replacement all the same)
I have seen other E500's user's on here have done their own DIY replacment with a good quality cable and was wandering if there was anyone out there can provide this service of mod'ing the E500 with a descent third party replacement cable? as me myelf i am useless & dangeroues with a soldering iron!
Would be great if i could get a good cable that would last forever like the Shure cable should of done in the first place!
