Atomic Gun Amp

Check it out folks, the Atomic Gun amp:

The black lead that goes from the volume pot to the headphone jack (I think ) is disconnected. I think I have a schematic somewhere. If I can just fix that wire I think the rest of the circuit is good, but who knows. This has been sitting in my dirty basement for 3 years.

I think it will fit in the case:









I can put the pot on the short side, and the two jacks on the long side. I can put the toggle switch and the LED on the top. I could even put the LED at the tip of the gun. Wow! Cool man!

I'm just not sure how to keep everything in place. I suppose just a piece of metal could hold the batteries in place. Maybe the pressure from the jacks against the metal will keep the board in place.

I have a portable workbench that has a sort of built in vice. I guess I'll bring that. I don't know if I just need a drill to make some holes of if a dremel tool is better.

Not quite sure if this is worth doing but it seems like it's so close to being finished.

That's hot. Atomically hot.

Bring the vice. If you have the right sized drill bit, bring that too. I have some 1/4" x 1" strips of wood to grip the metal in the vice so the drill will be less prone to shove the metal aside instead of drilling a hole. Have a handheld power drill and dremel, but only the basic bits, grinders, & cutting wheels. From what I've read around here, the best bit is the teardrop kind, which I don't have.

standoffs from a computer motherboard & epoxy?

Tomorrow is definitely a no-go for me as well. It's my fault. I thought all along that this was Sunday. My juggling ended up with balls all over the floor.

My bad for not handling this right. Hey, I'm new at this. Good thing I didn't start by planning one of our regular meets.

Looks like the attendance is going to be 4-5 at most, probably a lot less. I'll take pictures no matter what, even if it's just me. Have some cool new toyses to play with, and a bunch of projects to build.

If anyone else wants to come, let me know here or by message, and I'll send details.
