Which cable for Terminator V4 Darth Beyer? - Page 3

Wouldnt it also depend on your source/amp? If its neutral copper would probably be better but if its warm, silver might even it out a little bit more.

It is always about balance in the setup sure. For instance, if I was using a basic, bright source like an X-FI soundcard, I would use copper. If I was using an iMod with lossless audio, I would use silver. I mean all the way through the chain I would use one or the other.

That is why I have both silver and copper i/c. Atm I am using copper b/c I only have the x-fi while I wait on my iMod to get back to me and am looking at new sources like huge big $$ receivers(older models now much less than new but still awesome) for a experimental idea I have.

Heh,
Who cares! You're not supposed to be listening to these things anyhow, they're works of art!! Says so right on his website. If you read his site, he's telling you, don't complain when you find out these things sound like crap, He ain't makin' headphones, He's making works of art. Says so on the Website.

So the whole discussion of Cables is Goofy as hell! The BlackGold didn't help mine sound Great. The DBs are show-off canz, that's why ya get the BlackGold. Thats why ya get the wood splitter, thats why ya get the WJC. Those baybees are freakin' Beautiful too!

I think you're going to find this out:

They kick Azz with a few songs, really Kick Azz! Then the other 99.99% of your Music sound like DogSh*t with them. The 770-80 Pro's are better as Headphones. The DB's are a lot better as works of Art.

You'll have both so you're set!

Make sure you get the Display Stand with them. It's a display stand, that's what you get when you show off artwork.

You can use the DBs for 00.01% of your tunes

and for the remaining 99.99% you have the DT770-80s!

You're good to go!

I got rid of mine, but still listen to that 00.01%, don't tell anyone though...

Here's the progression, the V4s fixed the V3 bad sound, the V3 fixed the V2 bad sound, the V2 fixed the Originals bad sound. Get the idea. I'm thinkin' of gettin' back in at V10. I like the sound of it, V10. That'll be a collector's item I'm sure.

Its all a matter of opinion. Some apparently like the way they sound. Are they for everybody, no. They are pretty nice piece of art but to some they sound good too. Nothing wrong with functional art.

The functionality is the question. Here's the direct quote under this Graphic on his website:

I create art… I don't provide demo's (sorry) anymore, rather basically either you like and want my art, or you don't :-) There are 37 pages of info on this website to make a pre buying decision, please take the time to look :-)

This is a warning he's giving, he's an art dealer, and he don't want to hear about how it sounds. And if you want to listen to it first, forget it!

Don't get me wrong, the current $1400 canz he has up there, I wish I had that much to devote to Headphone art presently. Those basket weave canz are gorgeous.

Alas, I have been putting my money on headphones recently.

Anyhow, back to the cable question, I think BlackGold, that's what I had on mine. It's Art for God's sake! Get the prettiest Cable you can afford!

My source is Auzentech Prelude and imo its a very bright source. Some headphones such as 990pro are unlistenable due to extreme sibilance. I certainly don't want V4s to sound like that. So final decision is: COPPER

Thanks for all your replies guys. Much appreciated.
