recommendations for wiring headphones in home theater?

Hello,

I am wiring my home theater, and would like to be able to drop a line for a headphone jack. The current total distance from Amp (a Denon 3808CI) to wall-jack would be pretty long -- about 55'.

Given the long length, what are my best options for running the headphone wiring in a cost effective manner that will have 'reasonable' results? I could consider a headphone amp, but at the moment it's not in the budget and is a bit more involved than I'd prefer.

Thanks for the insight and recommendations.

55' is too long for headphone extension cable, I'd use digital out from your Denon to a dac/headphone amp close to the headphone wall jack.

Thanks for the response. I'm rather new to this. By 'digital out', do you mean one of the optical channels?
