Well! atleast in my opinion. Probably if i were going the other way around i.e. from lower hi-fi to D10, my opinion would have been different 
Jokes apart let me correct myself. They can power the RS1 to good listening levels but not as good as a desktop amp. The Shure 840 seem to match very well with the Ibasso 10. Am still trying some op amp combination to bring down the bass. The DAC section is however very impressive out of optical output and really comes in handy when listening from the laptop.
