After some research we at VD have realized cables are a dead end. After thousands of man hours of research and millions invested [thanks Pat!] we have come to the conclusion that the negative ion magnetic field sent out by the human body is the number one cause for audio distortion. This has lead our development team to groundbreaking research that will lay the foundation for the audio companies of the future. May i present to you the soon to be patented VD electrograbbonic jacketifier, known in house as the EXECUTOR.

see, Shakiti doesn't claim the thing reduces vibration, they claim it somehow interacts with the devices on an RF level (like, they're claiming it has electrical components inside it, I'm not spending the money to buy one and break the thing open though )

their "test" was putting it on the ECM of a Chevy Tahoe (how the hell it stayed there, I don't want to know), and it supposedly improved 0-60 performance by a few tenths of a second (which they claimed is "thousands of dollars of value" (and yes, they market this thing to car owners??), changing your air/oil/fuel filters and putting in clean fluids can usually give you a similar performance "boost", or switching to higher grade octane/some fuel additives, can also give a similar "boost" (and if you actually upgrade the breathing in/out system, thats a lot larger performance gain, and still nowhere near a few thousand dollars))

regardless, they're basically saying becuse it made a Tahoe go from 0-60 mph in like .3 seconds faster, it'll somehow improve your audio system (....no, you aren't crazy, you really did just read that )

so honestly, I'd agree with "books are better than shakiti stone", for two reasons:

A) if vibration dampening is the goal, books (or bricks, cinderblocks, sandbags, a small child, or other misc heavy object) are far cheaper than a shakiti stone

B) if this thing seriously sits there and CREATES RF interference to "improve" things, I fail to see why I'd want to put it near my audio components
