Recommended Cheap Quality Connector Plug

Hi, I'm relative new for posting in this forum (although I often read head-fi).

I usually use Neutrik for 3.5mm 1/8" straight plug for 3.5mm needs, because it's cheap and easy to find.
I dislike the Nickel Body Neutrik because the sound quality is worst to Black Body Neutrik.

But I've heard that good connector should use less "magnet-able" material such as Nickel. It's why good old Eichmann Bullet RCA use plastic body.

I have some rare-earth-magnet known as Neodymium, and I use this to test for some magnetic conductivity.

Both Neutrik was highly conductive to magnet, but I think the black nickel one is less conductive by a little margin.

I also check Canare F12 plug, and find little conductivity to magnet in it's brass body.

I liked Canare F12 more to neutrik (SQ-wise), but for head-amp IC, the cable is very thin but the body (and hole) of Canare F12 is very big in comparison. And F12 tend to be accidently pulled from female jack.

I want to test this also with Switchcraft jack, but 3.5mm jack version is very rare in my hometown (Jakarta of Indonesia).

Looking from the price perspective, the SQ should be Neutrik ($2) << Canare F12 ($5) << Switchcraft (Switchcraft is $10 @Qables).

Does it worth for me to import Switchcraft mini jack?
Will the SQ a leap from Canare F12 (or Neutrik) ?

Also please recommend me of good RCA male plug (< $15 a pair), that is better than Canare F10.

I've know of Neutrik Profi RCA and also Switchcraft, but I never heard them sonically.

Thanks in advance.

if you worry about magnetic component, the F12 is the way to go.

Have anyone test Switchcraft straight plug 3.5mm for magnetism?
And have anyone compare Switchcraft to Neutrik & Canare for sound quality?

Is it right that magnetism can alter the electron flow?

I would prefer smaller body Switchcraft to bigger (and badass) body of Canare F12, if the sound quality are roughly the same.

Thanks.

So there is a difference? Wow I want your ears.
Tell me. What more can you hear that others can not?

Upgrade to the big boys! Get an Amplifier for these cans and buy youself Neutrik/Vampire/Furutech 1/4" plugs. You will be blown away at how huge the Furutech Plug is, it's a monster.

Well, at least 4 people of my local audiophile community share the same opinion about it.

Maybe it's just placebo.

The nickel body neutrik is a bit cheaper @qables than black one.

I already have DIY 5654/EF92 (driver) -> 6DJ8/ECC88/cca (power) head-amp/pre-amp, and currently use Kimber 4TC with Canare F10 RCA connection (still searching better RCA male < $15/pair).

I use that for my Sennheiser HD600.

But I still need 3.5mm mini jack for my portable needs.
