X10 falling apart - return or glue?

I removed the Comply tips from my X10's this morning to replace them with clean ones and was surprised when the gold part of one remained attached to the tip!

They still work fine and don't come apart unless you try removing the tip so should I return them under warranty? Seems a bit pointless when a spot of glue would fix them, but if the cable dies (as seems to be a common occurance ) I don't want the warranty gone due to an amature repair. The thought of not having any any portables for at least a week doesn't thrill me either!

Thanks in advance for any advice

i would send them in. i would think gluing them would void the warranty

Thanks for the quick reply Professor Thump, guess it's a week+ of quiet journeys for me

Unfortunately I'm in the UK so I guess it's a different number/e-mail to contact for an RMA number? I bought them direct from klipsch.co.uk but there doesn't seem to be an option in the "contact" section for it.
