Just curious, who uses stock cables or after market. A one line reason why would be great also.

Using stock now, will be making aftermarket in a few weeks. Stock cable tangles a lot and annoys me.

For the comfort aspect alone, I would have stuck to the stock cable, but the Zu Mobius sounds better.

Yes, I'm moron in aftermarket cable on my HD 650. The APS V3 Super Nylon, Jena Lab and RAL upgraded with Cardas Connectors and Furutech 1/4 plug. They both sound much better than the stock cable with different character.

Edit: I do owned a pair of Cardas (grey in color) and I sold after I got my APS at once, I don't like what it sound, seems no different with the stock cable (with +200hrs of burn in).

I'm using stock because for the price I'm not ready to do a cable upgrade. When I have some extra cash to throw around I may think about picking up an aftermarket cable.

I have the Black Dragon cables on the way to me right now, should receive it next week. The stock cables sound a little dark, so I'll be giving the BD a try..

I use the stock HD650 cables. With my Zero dac/amp i don't imagine upgrading my cables would give me a noticeable difference since most upgraded cables cost more than my zero.

I use the SAA Equinox with my HD650.

Sounds better than stock, minuses are microphonics and less flexible.

HD600 cable on my HD650. I like it much better than the stock HD650 cable.

If you can pick up a used RAL Paradise cryo-Silver for the HD650, you can't go wrong.

Bah! I've never seen anyone pass an ABX test of cables yet. Only people who claim a difference are those that don't/won't do ABX.

I really like the stock hd650 cable in terms of flexibility and it never seems to tangle. The best stock cable I've seen.
But I do have some cool wire that I will use to build an aftermarket cable at some point.

We're not supposed to discuss abx here as it invariably degrades into a flame war.

Using stock on HD650s now, will be making my own eventually if needed.

If I don't want to do the DIY route, this past weekend inquired a Head-Fier of giving up the RAL cable, unless micro phonics are an issue

HD600 with 18awg Jena CRYO Sennheiser balanced cable. Changed for two reasons, I prefer the sound and beilieve it results in a more detailed headphone, and I was going balanced.
