Looking at purchasing a cheaper PHA for now, would 260372272031 (Cmoy with OPA2134 be upgrade over amp circuit in iriver H140? I know about Aphead 47, are these superior quality headphone amps?

If the seller can replaced opamps what would you recommend? RS-1 and UE TF 10.

I want a Ibasso D10 but at 4x the cost of Cmoy can't justify yet.

I had a Cmoy and an A47 and I preferrd the A47 for the Grado's I had. It had more muscle and drove them better. It worked fairly well with my PL750's too. IMO good 'bang-for-the-buck'

A47 seems a rarer amp these days?

not being an e-tech or a diy-gal I can only gather that it was an early design following the simple but elegant Cmoy, which got left behind with the advent of more sophistocated bufferred amps, 3-channel amps, active grounds and all the goodies which have evolved since way back in the early days of Head-Fi or before. An M^3 or a PINT for about $100 is often much preferred these days, but the A47 can be a good deal at the right price.

i really enjoyed a cha-47 built by JMT back in the day. try to get a diyer to build one for you with JRC4556 opamp operating off of dual 9V batteries, and solen capacitors. part of the reason its better optimized for grados is because of its higher current output where as something like senn hd600 needs higher voltage swing instead of current.
