hi guys..

need some recommendation for active studio monitor speakers which accept RCA inputs.

mainly to accompany my Yamaha PSR E413 keyboard

need have have accurate bass response and timbre should be accurate.

overall a warm signature because will spend a lot of time listening to music.

I don't think "timbre should be accurate" is a proper statement. Timbre is basically the coloration of the sound signature that is distinct to certain instruments. So maybe the more proper statement should be.... "There should be no distinguishable timber"? But you just stated that you wanted a warm signature so... I dunno. Do you want neutral or not? Or were you saying you wanted timbre that matches piano?

Anyhow, what's your budget?

the timbre should be as natural sounding as HD600.

i am looking at $700-800

Most powered studio monitors are going to have balanced inputs. But you can convert the balanced inputs to RCA using a TS (tip sleeve) to RCA adapter.

Also consider where the speakers are going to be placed. If they have to be placed near a rear wall you are going to want front ported speakers rather than rear ported speakers.

Genelec makes some great sounding actives, in my opinion.

They are XLR though.

KRK VXT-8 was recommended by a friend of mine who does alot of studio work. Also the Adam 5 or 7.
