LODs?

So today I have decided that I might buy a fiio e5 amp, and a lod for my iPod touch 1G and hook it up to my Sennheiser IE8's. But I am just wondering, are there good ones not on ebay, that are cheap (£10-20)? If not, I might just go on ebay and buy one from this guy called wemakeamp. Is he reliable?

'wemakeamp' have 712 positive feedback.
You can never be 100% sure the seller is reliable when buying online, but this seller at least don't have anything telling otherwise.

I'm just always skeptical when buying online... well my parents are, I don't have a credit card xD

And you should be! The worst thing that can happen is to get scammed on the internet. Don't let it spoil the fun though.

Just wondering, do ALL LODs work with every iPod?
No, only those built for iPod's.
Creative Zen, Cowon iAudio X5, .. LOD's will not work.

¬_¬ I meant do any iPod LODs work with every iPod, or are there specific ones for specific iPods?

^ I believe the iPod touch 2nd gen or something needs to have some resistors installed. The others should work just fine iirc.

As I know, LOD from wemakeamp can be used for all ipod, iphone and i-touch.

why not buy fro one of the fellow Head-Fiers who make them?? I have one by EFN and love it. Very "flat" to go with Nano and Minibox or Tomahawk and was quite reasonably priced. There are also others here, but he's the only one I've used for LODs

There are specific pins that the LoDs must "use" for it to work with certain models but there are a lot of good ones out there (I had one) that worked with all versions.

But yea... if you're looking on getting a good one in the future you should make sure you're getting your money's worth. IMO don't buy a really, really expensive cable when you can get the same one from a different vendor (person or store) for a lower price.
