Ive had to send in my shure se110s for the 5th time cause of the dumb static nosie that occurs after every 3-4 months of use. Is there absolutely ANYWAY to prevent this? I spent 100 on it I want it to last at least 2 years hassle free. Does this happen to all earbuds? I know it happens to ipod earbuds but they suck so who cares. Does this happen to um2s or the really high end iems?
The funny thing is Ive had my current headphones (280 pros) hooked up to my computer the past 4 years and no static noise WHATSOEVER. Maybe cause its always stationary and never leaves my room. Im starting to assume that maybe the exposure of the wire to the environment is what causes it. From placing it in my coat pocket to my bag and walking in general? Im so fed up with this. I know when I get my replacement, Ill have to send it in again 4 months from now AGAIN.
IS there ANYWAY TO PREVENT THIS!!!! Im gentle with my stuff, I just listen to my earbuds on the bus, in class etc. I dont work out in it.
