Broken AD700s

I'm not a huge audiophile, so that's why I guess I'm going to you guys for help My Audio-technica AD700s seem to be kinda broken. Whenever I move the audio cord around, the sound goes into the background, and I can only barely hear the song. And it stays in the background until I move the cord in a way that makes it sound alright. Right now, I have to put a CD case on the cord to prevent it from moving, because even slight movements will make the audio go into the background.

Oh, and I would like to say that I have sent them in before to audio-technica for repair, that was like 6 months ago and it was because the audio stopped working in one ear.

Sounds like a broken cable or loose contact. Also sounds like you'll have to send them back again or have them recabled (so you can become a huge audiophile ).

It might need a new plug. You could ask someone to recable them for you if you have some money to spend. (nudge nudge)

I can replace the plug for you...send me a PM if you are interested. It will give me a chance to try a new can. No charge for labor, you cover parts and shipping.

That was the point of my nudge nudge! I'll do it for free labor!
