Does this effect audio in movies with a mono ST? And does it effect audio in gaming?

I think NO to mono and YES to Game Audio.

If there is a difference between the left and right channel, it will affect the sound. So no to mono, and if the game has "virtual surround" or similar you might want the xfeed off, just like with binaural.

Whatever the source is, t will take each channel and delay it roughly 300uSec and feed it across.

For a mono signal it's like thaking the signal and delayingit and then feeding it back onto itself so you'll mostly end up with an EQ change due to the comb filtering effect of delaying a signal and then combining it with itself.

With games it depends what kind of signal you;re getting to your headphones. Sometimes games are in surround sound but for two channel listening they just feed the matrix signal to the headphones or speakers. In this case I prefer having the crossfeed on----even though it's not really correct, I think it's better than the straight matrix stereo signal.

If the game has a special setting for headphones that has an HRTF built in then I wouldn't use the crossfeed. Unless, of course, their version of HRTF is crap (which they sometimes are) in which case I'd tell the system you're listening on two speakers and then use your headphones with crossfeed on.

TY, the desktop amp is interesting me. CF sounds pretty cool. Just not sure if I can afford the HD800s or not.
