But I didn't like having to hook up and disconnect the Pico every time I took it out portable to use as an amp, or worrying about it not being fully charged because I didn't like leaving the wallwart connected 24/7. At this point I don't have a lot of reasons for needing the Pico DAC-only, except that it is a neat little gadget that will allow me to connect my Macbook to any home or portable audio system with RCA or mini when I am out and about. And I could leave it connected 24/7 without having to worry about wallwarts and recharging.

Where are you finding a large amount of source data that's 24/96 anyway? It's not as if we have a blu-ray replacement for CD out (don't we all wish, eh?)

One place: Linn Records to buy and download 24/96 studio masters, and a few up to 24/192 as well.

I know there are others out there.
