ATH-ES7 Housing

Hey all,

Recently my left driver of my ES7 blew out. I've contacted AT for a replacement driver but they're asking for $70 which is beyond my affordability. I want to keep my ATH-ES7 housing so I'm looking to swap the drivers with another set of drivers from a different model of headphones.

Would this be worth the trouble or would I be better off just ordering the $70 replacement part?

The ATH-ES7s ear piece housing is about 70mm in diameter.

Thanks.

Do it with the SFI drivers!

You can buy a new ATH-ES7 for about $110. It would be worth it to not have to open it up and screw around. Then sell the other one or keep it for the housing.

if you ended up getting a new pair, i would love the working driver if you still have it.
