i get irritated by people who get irritated by such small daily things...u r living on earth with 6.5 billion+ people...
if u cant tolerate such stuff..think of countries where people have to tolerate terrorism, racism, communal violence etc etc.
ur problems are so silly compared to theirs.
i call them 'silly issues of the developed nations' ..u ll find such complains especially in singapore newspapers...very poor tolerance i wud say.
try to be more cool than you are..and listen to good uplifting music..whats the point of such expensive headphones u cant appreciate the world we live in.
what really annoys me is when people obviously have the mental capacity to spell words in the english language correctly, and refuse to, just trying to be trendy or hip
oh yeah, and racism, terrorism, etc, nice examples there, O'Reilly (and to be even more of a prick: I live in one of the wealthiest communities in the united states, and see racism, violence, etc almost every day of the week)
actual post below:
I agree with the OP, I sometimes can get fed up with average "crap" on the day-to-day, but if nobody on head-fi had noticed, I'm also usually full of piss and vinegar, and live for it, although @ blueyez's comment:
are you a small guy? (like physically), as I've never had issues with kids/adurts walking into me or being generally ridiculous like that (I'm also 6' 3", pretty broad shoulders, and carry knives on my person (**NOT FOR COMBAT**, I just absolutely hate not being able to repair/fix/otherwise act upon things I find in daily life)), so I'm just curious (OR, do you live in a much more crowded metro area than denver?)
not to dig into you (OP), but I had a pretty big explosion/rant like this at work one day, the only other guy there was an ex-marine and recovered meth addict (no idea, seriously, interesting guy though), and he just asked me "why so worried about everyone else?", he didn't even wanna debate it with me, or discuss it, just asked that question and walked off
got me thinking about a story I heard when I was younger:
theres two kinds of people in the world, one person will set their bed up facing an eastern window, and complain every day that the sun woke them up, the other person hangs curtains
really not trying to feed you any philosophy, just sharing my personal view, yeah, I can get pretty peeved at people around me (come take a ride with me down I-25 ), but at a point I just stop and ask myself "is this hill worth dying on?", usually the answer is no
