if u cant tolerate such stuff..think of countries where people have to tolerate terrorism, racism, communal violence etc etc.

ur problems are so silly compared to theirs.

i call them 'silly issues of the developed nations' ..u ll find such complains especially in singapore newspapers...very poor tolerance i wud say.

try to be more cool than you are..and listen to good uplifting music..whats the point of such expensive headphones u cant appreciate the world we live in.

what really annoys me is when people obviously have the mental capacity to spell words in the english language correctly, and refuse to, just trying to be trendy or hip

oh yeah, and racism, terrorism, etc, nice examples there, O'Reilly (and to be even more of a prick: I live in one of the wealthiest communities in the united states, and see racism, violence, etc almost every day of the week)

actual post below:

I agree with the OP, I sometimes can get fed up with average "crap" on the day-to-day, but if nobody on head-fi had noticed, I'm also usually full of piss and vinegar, and live for it, although @ blueyez's comment:

are you a small guy? (like physically), as I've never had issues with kids/adurts walking into me or being generally ridiculous like that (I'm also 6' 3", pretty broad shoulders, and carry knives on my person (**NOT FOR COMBAT**, I just absolutely hate not being able to repair/fix/otherwise act upon things I find in daily life)), so I'm just curious (OR, do you live in a much more crowded metro area than denver?)

not to dig into you (OP), but I had a pretty big explosion/rant like this at work one day, the only other guy there was an ex-marine and recovered meth addict (no idea, seriously, interesting guy though), and he just asked me "why so worried about everyone else?", he didn't even wanna debate it with me, or discuss it, just asked that question and walked off

got me thinking about a story I heard when I was younger:

theres two kinds of people in the world, one person will set their bed up facing an eastern window, and complain every day that the sun woke them up, the other person hangs curtains

really not trying to feed you any philosophy, just sharing my personal view, yeah, I can get pretty peeved at people around me (come take a ride with me down I-25 ), but at a point I just stop and ask myself "is this hill worth dying on?", usually the answer is no

oh god don't remind me of Washington DC, my favoruite game of recent memory is Fallout 3, because I can run down the mall, spraying anything that moves (and its so much less crowded/easier to navigate over the real mall (yes, thats a dig))

One more for the easily irritated party.

To me the things that ticks me of on a daily basis are almost exclusively sounds (Awful music, loud speaking people with irritating voices, People saying stupid things, breathing loudly, burping, eating with open mouth…), so the most effective remedy I've come up with yet is the HD25-1s.

oh the loud voice/etc thing drives me up a wall

I actually stop people mid-conversation, put my hand up, and signal to lower the volume (basically the conductor motions), can't stand it at all

it has nothing to do with grating voices, its more "if you can't actively monitor the volume of your voice in normal conversation, you have no right to even begin to tell me I'm talkative or loud" (because I can get incredibly loud at will, notice the "at will" portion)

No problem obob
avoids mentioning complete understanding, yet choosing to twist it in my favour
Yep, a lot of the stuff that annoys me are noises. Breathing loudly and eating loudly are killers for me. not exclusive to sounds, though.

normally im quite normal, but when i get in the presence of a w.. w.. w.. you, my brain switches off, my fingers turn into thumbs, my brain switches off. when no lady is present, i can catch the tiniest fly. its really only an interesting psychological phenomenon.

There is a guy here at work we call the "caveman" who will frequently stop in your office for a visit whilst eating an orange or some other food item and smacking/chewing with his mouth open so loud that it's almost unreal. Drives me nuts!

but he's a freaking caveman - give him a break - he has had a much rougher life than you.

You must be quite old then, because if you haven't noticed, people use 'u' instead of 'you, 'r' instead of 'are' for convenience and not trying to be hip or trendy.

and regarding the O'Reilly comment u made...what makes u think i was being a narrow minded conservative jerk when i mentioned terrorism and racism? (unless i misunderstood your post then pls clarify)

i think this is becoming a thread for introvertish people to vent out their feelings.

i am out.
