soooooo, back to the original question at hand.....does anybody have any definitive suggestions on amps to power either the es3x or the ue-11? (i am personally more interested in learning what can drive the es3x the best, since these seem to suit my personal tastes the closest)
In a related thread, headphoneus and digihead had such an excellent and informative exchange of details about these two sets of IEMs and i demand more of the same stuff, just in regards to amps and further upgrades.
i want to know what guys such as them (who own several or ALL of these super high end IEMs) have to say about their own personal rigs and what seemed to sound best.
Did one amp shine through with each these headphones, guys?
Did any users of either of these two sets pair it with an IMod and appropriate amp and notice even further gains? i seem to remember that digihead used this type of combo in his reviews...if you can call it a review....or rather complete loss of focus during extended and wonderful listening sessions
Also, let's try to steer away from speculation based on similarly branded product pairings. As was suggested, the W3 and TF10 are not quite similar enough to the es3x and ue-11, respectively, that we can use an amp that works well with them as a good recommendation for these latest offerings. a does not seem to equal c in this situation.....no transitive property of amp equality, boys and girls. i think it was even suggested that the W3 sounded nothing at all like the es3x.....anyway, you get the point here...especially headphoneus and digihead, what were your personal favorite amps or even overall system combos to power these IEMs??
p.s. has anybody paired either of these sets up with a minibox-E+?? just curious, as this amp seemed to get some pretty good reviews from a variety of users.
