Upgrade my headphones or buy an amp?

Hey all, I've done my research and I'm basically between getting SR225 and a Little Dot MKIII. I'm not sure how my current Senn's and Yuin's will scale with a MKIII, but I would like to see. However, I plan on eventually having both. What would you suggest?

I say get the new headphones first. New headphones will change the sound much more than an amp. Also, Grados especially do not necessitate amplification to sound good. Later, an amp will just refine all the headphones.

Thank you, that is what someone else told me. Any other opinions?

if you wanna change, headphone is better. AMP should listen first, everyone's ear is different. and AMP make changes, but you don't know you'll like the change~~

Unless you can drive your headphones to their abilities, you may pass on some good headphones because they sound badly under driven.

Economics suggests you find the headphone sound that you like best, then find an amp to match the impedance.

I have a $50 mixer I use for two things: 1.) to plug my phones in to a stable surface, and 2.) to raise the volume. It does both jobs admirably, and I bought it years ago for recording music. My headphone money is spent on headphones, not amps.
