Good earphones with volume, play/pause, and track controls?

I'm about to get an Ipod Touch 2nd gen and I need some earphones that have volume, play/pause, and track controls. You know just to make the experience a little better.

I need some Ipod Touch compatible phones with good sound quality and something under 50$. In ear phones is fine too.

What are your recommendations?

Thank you!

There is nothing under $50 with that compatibility other than the stock Apple ones.

The only other option is the Nufroce NE-7m at exactly $50. You don't get volume control on the touch with that.

The only option that offers full control is the Apple dual driver IEM at $80. I have heard those and they are quite good. They have a flat frequency response and won't be bass heavy.

Z.buds have what you need, but they're $30 over your limit. You might be able to find some discount codes around to get them a little cheaper.

If not those then the NE-7M like oarnura said.

You mean these? Apple Earphones with Remote and Mic - Apple Store (U.S.)

Any opinions on how they sound?

I do not believe that is the right one. That's much too cheap, and the ones he suggested are called the ADDIEMS - Apple Dual Driver IEMS. They cost around $80.

OH okay.

How about something with no volume controls and just play/pause and track controls?

The Nufroce NE-7m look tempting...

Depends what kind of headphones you prefer. (Detailed, natural...)

Those are the stock earbuds that come with the iPhone. The same drivers that come with the ipod touch without the mic and controls.

So once you get your ipod touch listen to the earphones that came with them. If you like how they sound the one you linked to should sound the same but have mic and play/pause/skip controls.

Like others have pointed out the Dual Driver ones are different and $80. $70 on amazon I think..

Apple has a great 14 day return policy. So you can always try the $80 ADDIEM out.

I'm pretty sure they can't because of hygiene purposes.

I want something with bass, but not too in your face.(hey that rhymes)

Detail is always good, I'm not an audiophile so I don't have much experience with phones, the "best" ones I've ever tried would be: Koss KSC 75, Sennheiser PX 100, and Creative's EP-830.

Anything along those lines would be fine, as I don't think I would be able to describe how I like my headphones to sound. Other than just saying I want them to sound "not crappy and cheap" or I want them to NOT sound "like the Ipod Classic stock buds"

I am 100% sure at least in the US that you can return it. I have done it my self.
