So does anyone know of any particular retailer that has these headphones for a discount? I'm interested in the 225 particularly. If it's around $150, I may pick it up.

Sorry to post this on this thread as well but I don't know why no one ever entions another huge change in the 325s and that is they are now silver! So same as the PS1000s.

I heard them yesterday and the treble has been attenuated compared to the gold version. They were comfortable as well and I liked the feel of the bigger cable. They were slightly sweeter sounding than the 325i gold (just going from memory). Was difficult to do critical listening though as it was a noisy environment and they were plugged into a headphone out of CD player (high end but still these deserve better).

The new 325 has been reviewed in the (cmiiw) 325 appreciation thread, maybe the excitement has rather died since then

Hmmm...I wonder if the Alessandros will be getting an update as well...

Though, if they do, it probably will not be for some time, I would imagine.

Oops, thanks for the heads up. I guess it's old news.

Still think it's worth mentioning in the lists of new changes to the Grado line.

Wait, could anyone clarify something for me? A few weeks ago people started seeing new SR60s and SR80 (http://www.head-fi.org/forums/f4/new...sr-80s-406433/) but they were still labeled "SR60" rather than "SR60i". Now Grado comes out with another set and added an 'i' to the end of the product's name.

Now I'm just curious whether or not these are 3 different headphones, or if the latter 2 are the same and they just hadn't changed the names yet. It seems like a kind of silly action in either case.

I also noticed that the updated SR80i and the SR125i now comes with comfy pads standard (instead of the "bowl" pads on their predecessors). And although you can buy the "bowl" pads as accessories for the lower-end Grados, those bowls now only come standard in the SR225i, SR325is, RS2i and RS1i models. The GS1000 and the new PS1000 use much larger pads than the standard=sized Grado "bowls".

The only difference between SR125i and SR80i is the cable, I'll probably order a pair of SR80i rather than SR125i when it's available in Canada.

Edit: another difference between SR125i and SR80i is the material for voice coil wire
