Because, if someone is looking for great phones and decides not to give the DT770s a try because of some idiot telling lies about them, then an opportunity has been missed and an injustice has been done.

I happen to agree completely that people should try as many phones as possible. It's much better to hear a can for oneself when possible than to just rely on reviews. And having heard the DT770 on many different amps with many different sources, I consider them to have bloated bass and a bright, splashy top end. I think they're a lot of fun for rock and electronica. I think they're simply awful for classical. And I also think there are a lot of better phones out there, but I would still recommend that someone try them for a fun rock can. Am I a liar?

intoart, I happen to think there are much better choices than the 770 Pro even at the same or lower price range for almost any genre, not to mention things that are higher priced. That's my opinion, and you are obviously entitled to your own. Are we not both equally allowed to voice our opinions? Granted, I wouldn't name-call them with something like "fart cannon." Also, to be honest, your experience with headphones is quite limited compared to many people here, and will stay limited if you only look for closed headphones, but that's just your particular situation.

And if they happen to be considering a better headphone than the 770?

Haha, I'd say I've done a person great service if they skip the DT770 for something better, like the HD600 that I want to get my hands on.

This doesn't sound like you mean it at all, what is the real reason you feel like you need to defend your headphones? You spend alot of money on it? And now want to 'justify' that expense?

I am not defending "my" headphones, because I no longer own the DT770s (I prefer DT150s.) I also did not spend a lot of money on either of those, since they are cheap compared to the D5000s and K701s that I tried and rejected.
Finally, who the hell are you to judge what I "sound like I mean" or not?

At that price, there isn't one.

What price are you using? I think the HD 25-1 II is a better all-around phone than the DT770, to name just one.

What!?!? You don't own the DT770? You have repeatedly stated it has the best, most balanced bass and sound! Best means there is nothing better, so why do you prefer the DT150, an inferior headphone by your previous outlandish statements of the DT770?

And judging? Dude you been calling people liars and saying their statements of sound to be wrong. Seriously, are you a bot?

The price I paid, which was a bit less than $150 shipped.

Well you are certainly not giving a 'neutral' opinion. Furthermore, everyone is allowed to judge for themselves if they think someone is speaking the truth or not, this is not some 'special right' or something

For me, obviously. (That is implied by the fact that I wrote it. Indeed, it is never necessary to use "IMO" because that is always implied. The only non-opinion statements are hard data.)
