Quit making false assumptions. I never stated or implied that "concerts" referred to "amplified concerts". When I played in the string orchestra, my best friend was a bass player, so I know exactly what unamplified acoustic bass sounds like. (Which is why I know as a fact, not an opinion, that DT770s reproduce it flawlessly.)

(Instead of posting here, you should go shoot some more BBs into your foot. It would be more productive.)
I don't believe in anything you say anymore. I do not think you have the capability to even attend one college level class. My best friend is a bass player and he says the DT770 is so awesome, blah blah, whatever dude. I slap you with your meaningless "facts."

These girls have slapped each other silly.
Why? What do you have against people having fun?

Your friend is right, and you have been wrong from the beginning.
You have proven yourself both incapable of recognizing quality sound when you hear it and incapable of remembering things you have read, so why should I care what you believe?
(Just don't come whining to me when you are flunking out of your math classes and could use my help.)

Well, I Started It, Didn't I?

I had no idea when I started this thread that there would be such pyrotechnics!

I like it!

Some have suggested we shut down the thread. Obviously, I'm no moderator, so it's not my call.

But I don't really see the need. I don't see any abuse happening, and I don't see anything offensive. I just see members with different opinions disagreeing vigorously, not yielding one inch, and trying to get the last word.

I come from DC, and this kind of thing happens every day!

The only difference is, when it happens here instead of calling each other names, they call each other '...my distinguished colleague..."

Ow DC, your hardcore...

Maybe we can have a music interlude while the distinguished colleagues regroup:

Addicted to Bass

I got two pale hands up against the window pane
I'm shaking with the heat of my need again
It starts in my feet, revers up to my brain
There's nothing I can do to reverse the gain
I'm looking down to the street below
There's nothing in the way they move to show
They too, know what I know
They too hunger for the beast below
Listening to the radio I feel so out of place
There's a certain something missing that the treble can't erase
I know you can tell just by looking at my face
A word about my weakness
I'm totally addicted to bass
Wow woah oh
Totally addicted to bass
Wow woah oh

(Wow woah oh)

There's nothing I can do to be cool
I don't sleep till I've had my fuel
It frustrates if I am deprived
A hunger that grates from deep inside
I feel like I'm doing time
Imprisoned by dependence on a rhythm sublime
In my mind I must overcome the need to define
The solitary silence of a faceless crime

Standing by the stereo I'm feeling so alone
My back against a speaker and I'm moving on my own
Surrounded by so many and they're staring at my face
They're picking up my problem
I'm totally addicted to bass
Wow woah oh
Totally addicted to bass
Wow woah oh

Your bassline is shooting up my spine
Wow woah oh
Your bassline has got me feeling fine
It's filling up my mind

Sunrise at my window, I look down on the street
People I see everywhere are tapping their feet
Suddenly I realise in a look that I was wrong
Everybody's groovin' to their own song
Down at the scene below
There's something in the way they move to show
They too, know what I know
They too hunger for the beast below

Rhythm's running over me to wash away my fears
The backbeat of humanity sweetens my tears
There's something that's connected us down throughout the years
No need to feel so lonely, everyone's addicted to bass
Wow woah oh (x3)

Your bassline is shooting up my spine
Your bassline
Your bassline has got me feeling fine
It's filling up my mind
Your bassline is shooting up my spine
Your bassline
Your bassline has got me feeling fine
It's filling up my mind...

Playin' air drums to iGig's interlude...

I got kick drums in my heels

...tom toms in my toes...

...snares and cymbals in my fingertips

And I am JAMMIN" at my desk.

HD Dude, that's too funny. I was playing drums with my heels and my toes too.

Found this cool video I'm watching right now:

Ironic that song's bass is so marginal. They ought to take some lessons from Massive Attack or Crystal Method.

Fun thread.

I did the smart thing and put mbd and intoart on ignore (view public profile -> user list -> ignore user). Intoart for being proudly ignorant, mbd for consistently being a worthless ****head (just stating the obvious).

As for me, I like the bass on the D7000. Wish the midrange weren't so thin, though.

I like my DT-770s.

Actually no. But it does seems that some people would rather argue and call people names instead of constructively discuss.

This post is a classic example of childish behavior, and maybe I'm wrong here, but I'm thinking that some moderation might be needed in this case.

intoart,

Have you had experience with any other headphones which made you come to the conclusion that the DT770 are the best sounding pair?
