i also have my nokia 5800xm and still use it from time to time =)

I have upgraded from Sennheiser MX 880 to 980, guess I'm at the limits of MP3 320kbps and Nokia with TLV320AIC as DAC (same as in Cowon iAudio X5).

When I updated the qt library on my phone (from 4.5? to 4.7, major changes BTW), there was a significant increase in SQ. Beforehand I could listen to ogg q10, but now I hear that the codec has it's faults with PowerMP3, lots of hissing in quiter parts of songs that has nothing to do with actual load, but more uniform to signal. Nokia does not natively support ogg so...
 

AAC plays fine with Nokia's sub par player, but with PowerMP3 it stutters, probably because of CPU underclocking or some powersave mode, as while pressing the volume button.. for a whole song the problem is "solved".

My Nokia 6720 Classic has not been through many FW updates like 5800 or a whole bunch of modders having a go at it, do anyone using PowerMP3 with 5800 experience stutters with AAC?

This phones used are dirt cheap now, seen them as low as $93.
