Wanna a Zune or Apple?

What the differences between those two.

I mean IPC, I have used IPV for 3 years but the battery is dead now.

Never used a Zune before, wanna try something new.
Any suggestions?

Sheer volume the classic, nice design with a lot of exras Touch/I-PHONE 3G.

Only reason I ask - I've gone from an iPhone3G to the Zune (30), and am really happy... the tone is just more 'there' than the Apple unit...

Listening to Sia right now on the Zune with IE8s... total bliss

The Zune has really great sound. Never tried the ipod - but if you read the various posts, I would say Zune has better SQ

Ah, I would so own a Zune, if it wasn't for the iPod's LOD (last I checked, nobody has cracked the Zune's LOD) and 160GB of hard drive space.

iPod touch 2G is apparently meant to have a good sound to it, might want to look at this thread. It has some views on the iPod touch 2G, maybe not a Zune but still worth a read. I would get a Zune, but I'm a Mac person so it's a definite no for me.

Thing is the Zune's output from the headphone jack is miles better than the ipod's so an LOD from the zune would not gain you much sound quality.

Essentially the zune great SQ has reduced the reason to even have an LOD for it.

x2 with what Miklos wrote. I don't own an iPhone/Touch 2G, so it's hard for me to compare. But the Zune SQ is execellent, imo (Zune 30, in particular).

You cannot compare the iPod Touch to a Zune. Totally different beasts because of the interface. The iPod Classic would be a better comparison based on overall features.

However, when it comes to SQ, Zune all the way baby!

I've owned both the classic and Zune, in my opinion, the headphone out on a Zune sounds better than the line out on an ipod if you can excuse the odd hard drive chatter between songs.

Yea, my ultra sensitive Shure SE530s picks up that whirring noise from the hard drive too every time I do something that makes the hard drive operate.

anyone ever tested it? the reason zune has better sq on these boards is because it is the underdog. there is no way it is way better. no dap is way better than another unless you include fisher price and shuffle 2g into the mix.

this test is not driving load but since all three fall roughly in the same area and the zune in last place without load, with load it is probably the same. zune is the same as ipod or worse and it all comes down to personal preferences on which sounds better.
