Attachment of the brain to a particular cup.

I frequently find myself focusing on the left cup of all my headphones for bass and right for mids (two hi/mid fi and about 4 mid/low fi), even if I reverse the headphones or output channels. The output is mostly even (averages roughly balanced for all my headphones). Phenomenon occurs in mono playback. Anyone else encountered this? Sometimes I find it irritating, but I find the issue goes away if I lay down.

slightly deaf in both, but I already mentioned that the issue remains if i invert the cans as well (i.e. sticks to the left cup, not the left side)

It might be a placebo, you may just be listening too hard. Relax man.
