A few traits come forward at once:
Authority: It grabs the music and presents it boldly
Control: It is very precise and controlled, no booming or looseness in the bass. Perfect for what I want it for: controlling the DX1000 bass.
Detail: It is HIGHLY detailed. The amount of detail is really impressive.
Musical: it is not dry like the Corda Prehead, but very fluent and easy. It is on the bright side of the spectrum, but that will change some with burn-in I expect.
The sound is cristal clear, but also full. Very open.

So far I am very happy with this amp.
More to follow.

Sure keep us post on the sound.

I am ordering it today. Just need to get home to empty my wallet. I noticed they now have a power adapter for 220 V as well so you don´t have to source your own. Went for the horizontal. Didn´t dare the vertical since I have cats that like to go slalom between all my stuff.

So far it is my favourite ss amp. It clearly beats the single ended output of my Rudistor RPX100.
I am now awaiting the upgraded version and may have the opportunity to compare it side by side with the Phonitor. If my memory doesn't deceive me they are sound wise in the same league (not counting for all the extra controls of the Phonitor of course).

Right on Kees...I've been waiting for this. The Goldpoint company are only 30 minutes from my house.

Same league as similar signature?
Just got my confirmation. Expected delivery date 26th of August. How many hours do it need before it start to sing?

So the headphone pro is 549.00?? Sunnyvale is a 15 minute drive.. Think I could buy in person? Does it come with the PS?

Yes comes with the Power adapter. If you are european you pay 8$ more for a 220/110V adapter.

I ordered one (well tried to at first) and now it has arrived.
First I have to say the at Goldpoint they did everything to make the deal go well. They never sold it to anyone outside US, so they were a bit unsure at first (about payment method and 220 volt issue for instance), but everything went well. They are really excellent folks to deal with. It is in their e-bay shop now, which makes it a lot easier for future customers.
Very first impression:
Very nicely built. Sturdy, perfect finish. Understated & tastefull. No bling, I highly appreciate that.
Picture (sorry, I know my photography skills are sub-par):

How does it mate with the DT48? Did he fix the noise problem with low OHM headphones? I sent them a email, but got no reply. I'd like to buy one locally, but the noise floor issue bothers me.. I like a silky smooth black ground..

Arn usually answer within a day? Tried the mail from their homepage rather then ebay?

You are correct. His response was in my Spam folder. CS seems great.. He said Dennis could meet me at Star bucks to make the transaction.. I will just have them ship it.. Will get it over night. $12.00.. That's about 581.00. Just curious how they will mate with my DT48 since they are overly transparent & very sensitive to up stream components.. Knees has a DT48, albeit a 200 ohm one I think.. So, I would really like to know if they synergise well, to see if I should end up paying nearly 600 for a amp.. If not, I'll probably get the VHP2/VAC1 combo, the original amp I wanted, a very CHEAP SP Wave is probably sold. Was the 2nd person interested.

If I do buy it.. Would love to let other locals like Acix audition it at a meet, somewhere close to my place that doesn't fall on a Saturday..

On a side note.. You have the experience tube amp too?? That's a very expensive amp. I read the 6moons review.. Plus the Xcan 8?? Corda PHII!! What play ground do you play in?

Yes, I have a lot of amps. I also have a lot of headphones and I like to find the best combination for each of them. I also take a lot of time to evaluate them.
After a while I sell some (I sold the Corda recently because the Goldpoint matches better with the phones I used it for, mainly the DX1000 and I have the Stealth for sale now).
The Experience Head One is by far my favorite tube amp it is really great with almost all of my headphones.
Arn did fix the ground noise problem in his latest versiojn (that is up for sale since a couple of days now), but I haven't received mine yet so I can't comment on the result. He did a complete redesign so I am very curious how it will sound now. Means I also can't say yet how it will perform with the DT48E. I'm also in the middle of modding the 48E, so that makes it a bit complicated to give valid impressions.

The old version definitely does. The new version: I expect so, but I can't definitely say of course.
