I am very interested in purchasing this amp. Does anyone know for sure what op-amp or op-amps are used in this amp?  Someone in this thread mentioned the AD8397, just curious to know for sure. Thanks.

You know where you can get one ;)

Too go back.. On my receipt it says upgrade V9 but I got the external PS too.. I read about a guy getting V12.. Do you have 9 without the external PS.. At this point I'm very confused.. I know there was V4-V9 for sure..

The Pro 750/900 has always been trusty performers with rock. Particularly with percussive instruments but this is quite a ride!

SA5000 was kind of odd on my V3 GHP. Not quite as much now but it´s very enjoyable on both this and the Head one with bass that just wasn´t there before and highs that do sound better as well.

ED 8 I don´t remember being so nutty about previous either though I have always enjoyed it of course.

DX 1000 synergy was very good with the old amp and isn´t broken on this either.

T1 does sound good. Don´t want say it sound bad but I still feel the Head one seem to be able to take control of it a bit better.

V12 is maybe just some misinformation then? It sounded to Arn like V8 would be the last. But got V9 in the end and it was not to long ago you got yours? I did also get new power adapter.

Maybe it's me wanting a V12.. I guess Arn could create a even bigger PS & use better opamps... But Arns upgraditis remind me of DR Xin & his portable amp.. He was always upgraded.. What bothered me about that was, it took 6months to a yr to get your amp back & didn't return emails..

oqvisit, are you going to do some nice review about the Auditor Vs GP?

I will do a V200, Auditor/GHP/Head One roundup surely. Hope the V200 do more things different then the GHP/Head one or it will be a very booring roundup. I haven´t listened to the Auditor for a long time now. My cable broke and I didn´t really feel any stress replacing it having the GHP and Head One. Ordered some Cordial together with the V200 so will give it another shot.

Please do a write up.. I really want to know if the auditor is that much better then the GP V9 or V12 with PS.. I know it's not 500.00 better, if it's better at all.. But I'm not looking for best bang for the buck, just better.. I can't use my favorite DT48 with my GP which pisses me off, even though I knew that going in, but sounds really great with my 200 ohm Frank DT48.. I also have a balanced DAC collecting dust, which I'd like to use with the Auditor.. How does the Auditor handle low ohm headphones? 5-25ohm?

Acix you can try out my V9/12 GP with your 702 & my 200 ohm Franken DT48... Just need a time & place that is good for both of us.. I know you have experience with the auditor, so I would value your opinion.. & I might like the 702 so much with the GP that I might buy one.

KBI that is exactly the problem with the Auditor. I don´t think it handle low impedance headphones very well based on my first run. most of my low impedance headphones suffer a bit from congestion and collapsed soundstage. Which the t1 sure as heck doesn´t suffer the slightest from.

Ironic.. My receiver drives my 5ohm DT48 beautifully.. But the auditor & GP...Blah.. Maybe a custom build 160?? Listening to the NAGRA with my 50ohm adapter makes me feel embarrassed about how much I brag about it... Just nueters the sound.. I would never bring my NAGRA to a meet if I had to use a 50ohm adapter..Sound is smog induced IMO..

Hi. Would someone tell me what the v.12 is because the company says their lastest version is the v.9? Is it an aftermarket power supply upgrade that makes it the v.12?

I spoke with Arn at Goldpoint and he didn't know of a v.12. You know us hobbyists, if v.9 is good v.12 must be better right? So please enlighten me as to what the v.12.

I've been looking for a true upgrade to my Gilmore Lite+DPS and was leaning towards the Auditor but had heard it at the NJ meet and felt it was almost a lateral move. I was even thinging of reaching all the way to the three channel Rockhopper Beta22/Sigma22. Where does the Goldpoint stack up against the Gilmore Lite? Thanks

You have to thank KBI for the V12 rumour... If Arn say V9 is the latest it´s the latest if not the last :).

I heard about a V12, but apparantly I was wrong.. IMO the V9 with the PS is on par or betters the Stock GS1... For 549.00 it's a steal.
