Excellent. I can't wait to hear your impressions of it since you'll have it in your hands first, while mine's in transit! But that'll make the wait all the more painful (unless you tell me it sounds like poop, but I just don't see how that can be possible).

Pretty exciting, I can't wait till it comes to Canada. If someone does a first impression for this, please talk about sound quality compared to other players

Yeah, it's really really exciting. I think the delays have added to the anticipation as well. Let's just hope the Sony sales guy wasn't lying or I'm going to have to hunt him down...

Um... I'd be kind of guessing since I don't have either of them yet

If anyones interested.... I spoke to the sony centre in Portsmouth a moment ago and they said that they would have these in tomorrow (although only a few).

I just don't think i can justify the extra £30 rather than waiting a few extra days. Surely the larger online outlets will have these by the 19th rather than the 31st?

tempting though....

I called Amazon yesterday to tell them that Sony had given me a definite release date of 19th May. I asked if they could check it out as well, but they didn't know anything about it. Anyway, they just called me back a few minutes ago to say they'd talked to their supplier, and that they (Amazon) will be getting them on the 21st... provided nothing else gets in the way! They also said they wouldn't bother to update the release date on the website just in case... but they were positive they'd be in stock on 21st. High street stores should get them on the 19th.

Oh, and let us know if the Portsmouth store gets them in tomorrw!

Popped in the Portsmouth store on my lunch break and they are still waiting on their delivery.... rubbish

Thought I might have actually seen on in the flesh today....
