please help me to choose. (have not heard UE10Pro, so I can't help more)

I just wanted to know how long will a Custom IEM loose fit on a person ?
Can I re-custom my custom iem fit to be perfect again ?

As I am now using a ACS T1, I was thinking of getting the ES3X as what I read to be very good.

Is it an upgrade or downgrade ?

Thanks.

If you are a teenager, maybe a couple of years if you are lucky. As adult I have been told over 4 years, but you may be able to re-size the IEM with clear gloss acrylic paint if yours ears are only changing very slowly. My Livewires are still very tight after over 17 months (46 year old) without any sign of my ears growing bigger (inside part I mean).

The 3MOVE sounds quite nice with them but mine is in high output mode for my full size phones and laptop, and so the volume gets loud quite quickly. They also sound very good with the Apogee Duet (possibly the best, except for a slight hiss not heard with the other amps), and is also very good right from my iPhone 3G headphone out.

It is depressing how much more I now hear the veil in the HD600 with the same portable DAC amps where the ES3X can carry all the details. Now I have to relegate the HD600 back to only used with the desktop amps where they still shine. The ES3X also sounds noticeably better and more open than my APS v3 Edition 9 and woodied recabled D2000, which the ES3X make sound like the closed headphones that they are. So I have much less need to grab those closed cans at night when I don't want to bother my wife at night listening to music on my laptop in the bedroom when she goes to sleep. Basically the ES3X, like my electrostatics, have spoiled me for many of my full size dynamic headphones and make it harder to listen to closed headphones as well. My APS V3 RS-1, AKG K240M and maybe my ESW10 are my only full size dynamics to approach the clarity or openness of the ES3X.

Last night I put on a song by Emily Sparks "Let it Show" and for a minute I almost thought someone came into the room and started singing. I could hear the vivid voice and the sound bouncing off the walls of the small room, and everything. It was a goosebump moment (and makes Elephas cry, he says).

Anyways, I will continue to try the ES3X with a variety of sources or amps and report back over time. I just finished my iBasso D10 review so I have more time with the ES3X and other amps now. I'm going to try them on the PD XM5, TTVJ Millett, iBasso D3 and D2 Boa, Nuforce Icon Mobile, Meier Headsix and Vivid V1; as well as desktop amps like my HR Micro Amp, Meier Headfive, Travagans Red, Apogee mini-DAC, Woo WA6 and Single Power Square Wave XL. The volume control on the Head-direct EF1 and Millett starving student is gonna make those more difficult, as it is with most IEM on those amps.

Hi Larry, looking forward for your views on the ES3X paired with Meier Headfive and six. I'm thinking of pairing it up with Corda XXS as I prefer a more portable rig.
Thanks in advance!

Larry,

In daylight is the colour of your ES3X more like picture 1 (top), or pictures 2 & 3?

I should have more time to listen tomorrow, and I'll try to fit that in.

I suppose more like #2 and #3 - there were differences in lighting and the backdrop they were sitting on, but they look like a clear sour apple candy. Better yet, like emeralds.

I am currently using my ACS T1. Just don't know how does it compared to
ES3X. I don't really like the W3. I believed I can't really listened long with it.

As what Larry said, it's not the same sound as W3 & the mid is good ( very important as all the sound are from there ) so I believed it's closed to the ACS T1 or even better ? I hope the bass is not excessive as I preferred natural sounding.

I am still thinking about it since I had already a ACS T1 for just a few months so no hurry to get it.

I am trying to get opinion with people having tha ACS T1 ( not discuss here most of the time ) & ES3X. If Aron feel it's worthwhile getting, I will go ahead as we had the same liking on sound.

I've had my ES2's since August 2006. The fit and seal has not changed since I've owned them. Then again my weight has stayed approximately the same during this time period, and from what I've been told weight change has a dramatic impact on the shape and size of the ear canal. I've never heard of age being a factor but body weight.
