SPL Phonitor

I received my Phonitor today, damn. The thing is a beast to see, all metal, 6kg+, and overall build quility is best I have ever seen. I'v only listened to it yet with my RS1's because I can't stop listening. For the guitar lovers, I'm listening to Andy McKee (For My Father), wow it sounds crazy good. This is definetly a big improvement! Als the crossfeed, speaker angle and center really work great, you can easily check because you can switch everything off seperatly by the flick of a switch. Those looking for a high-end SS amp, this one is a serious contender!

The detail and texture are amazing. The seperation is also really clear, and I LOVE the center option, I have so much music that is made for speakers and are really tiring to listen to on headphones. By adjusting the speaker angle and center level you can really make it so much more comfortable to listen to. The -20db is also nice for lower imp. headphones, but not necessery. I will write more impressions after I get to know the beast a little better and its fully burned in (should take about 100hrs). The 900 sounds also livelier, and now I'm sure this is the most neutral headphone I have yet heard.

Cheers,

Victor

Wow they are also amazing with the ED9's, the speaker angle effect works excellent with the s-logic. The ED9 sounds much better controller overall, the bass is also less excessive, but mostly the soundstage did become much more real.

fye this is a SE amp. The back has 2 XLR inputs, and 2 XLR loop outputs (so untouched outputs).

Yeah I know, but you just have to find the settings once and then your set. It is a gift straight from heaven for me, as I was getting so annoyed by the ridiculous stereo imaging, too bad I don't have this for my stax, but for classical its alot less annoying.

Pic is resized, and I'm still waiting on stupid paypal to transfer the money, so they can ship out my GS1000.

Very good, imo, but you will realize pretty soon that you need something with more authority

Believe me, the dac gives me plenty of authority! On a more ridiculous note , I bought this black pad that you put on top of the cd, it supposedly makes sure that the reading laser doesn't go 'through' the cd, and bounces around in the player. Offcourse I thought it was snakeoil, and it also costed 40bucks and was made of some weird sea plants, but now after weeks of testing and disbelief, it actually reduces some distortion on some cd's, how weird is that.

No my account is under investigation because it has been accessed (by me!!) in a couple of countries around the world... I already told them what my job was, but they insist on some sort of investigation.

Sorry, didnt see you use one, cool then... I am more all in one guy, otherwise to much cables. Do you use NAD as transport? You may look at some TEAC 2nd hand model, so you can sell your 40bucks pad
