I really really like Frenzy, but somehow my score can't break 2000.

Any other kickass games?

iMafia is awesome, Tap Defense is great, JellyCar is a must have.

All of those are free, and are fantastic.

For paid games, I like Katamari Damacy. It's close to the PS2 version.

For free games - I like Trace and Lux Touch Lite (similar to Risk)

For paid - I like FieldRunners (Tower Defence)

Thanks for this. I didn't even know this was on the iPhone. Time to buy.

Im partial to SimCity - God-games messiah meets the one and only Jesus-phone

But my current fav is the excellent 7 Cities! Tower Defense - A Peg-leg up on the Competition.

iPingPong3D is also a favourite of mine and now has Wifi play for your mates!

If you're into board games, Lux Touch is another must. I spend most of my time playing it. In addition to that, I think Poker Quest is another great game which is a poker game except with 5 dices instead cards. Another game I enjoy lately is iShoot. This is the same kind of game as "worms" on pc and consols. Definitely check them out.

My current favs in no particular order:

Space Ninja: Fast paced shmup style game where rather than shoot you dodge incoming attackers, perfect accelerometer controls. Can become quite frenzied as more and more enemies try to halt your progress but the Matrixian style Slow Motion Warp will help get you out of tight situations. Some nice add-on bonuses of extra levels and a ski version have been added since it's release with more to come in later updates make it excellent value.

Blue Attack: Fantastic sequel to Blue Defense, a highly polished shmup with campaign and infinite modes. Once again great use of accelerometer controls. Score max resources by destroying the Evil Red Menace as quickly as possible to purchase upgrades to your fleet. Also features an online high score board with some insane scores being racked up. I'm totally hooked on this one.

Fastlane Street Racing: Great graphics with lots of detail like jets landing as you race past the airport, or overhead monorails as you race city circuits. Despite all the beautifully rendered eye candy of fast cars and flashing scenery that all blend to create a superb sense of speed Fastlane runs surprisingly smoothly with no lags that I have noticed. Hard mode takes some practice to perfect each cars drift and cornering techniques but there is an easy mode for those that do not have the patience.

Slotz Racer: Who would have thought a single button game could be so much fun. This is a beautifully crafted game with a huge list of configurable options to tailor every aspect of the game to maximize enjoyment. A built in comprehensive track editor allows you to build custom tracks and upload them to share as well as download tracks built by others. This feature alone gives the game infinite replayability and there are more add-ons coming in future updates. Slotz is a real blast from the past that rekindles all the excitement of slot car racing as a kid.

Hero Of Sparta: This is a great showcase game that IMO truly demonstrates the iPhone\Touch capabilities as a gaming platform. Beautifully detailed graphics, smoothly rendered 3D animations and cut scenes that unfold our epic heroes story, smooth responsive easy to use controls and great action gameplay delivers a challenging army of attackers and end of level bosses for you to hack and slash with an increasing arsenal of impressive weapons and attacks.

Pinball Dreams: A retro classic for pinball lovers, 4 tables that capture all the fun of the Amiga original.

Platypus A simple side scrolling shooter made special by the fact that all the environments and graphic elements have been hand modeled from plastercine. With it's quirky soundtrack and stop motion animation I find Platypus a great time filler.

Edge:For the price I was not really turned on by this puzzler when it was released but decided to Snipe it anyway. A couple of days ago AppSniper alerted me that it had been discounted so I picked it up and found it surprisingly slick and thoroughly enjoyable.

Trapped : Undead Infection: I am a sucker for anything Zombified and it seems punters either love it or hate it, I loved it, in fact it is one of the few games that has had me playing in 3-4 hour stints until completed (20+ hours). This dungeon style crawler in the style of Resident Evil has you wandering an infected government laboratory looking for clues and items to help you progress through the game while you slay a seemingly endless army of zombies, mutants and rabid dogs. With the usual array of weapons found along the way from stungun to shotgun I actually found handing out zombie justice with the metal pipe the most rewarding possibly it's the satisfying "Thunk" as you bash skulls that made it my favorite. The controls are a bit clunky and could do with tweaking but I did not find they detracted any from the game and I became accustomed to them after a few levels. Clues are plentiful however they can require a little lateral thinking at times but thats not necessarily a bad thing. The relentless onslaught by the undead can be frustrating at times but with ammo and health potions to be found under most of your slayed and the frequent save points and first aid kits along the way the game it is challenging but not impossible. IMO great value at $2.

Your iPhone NEEDS CRACK

Quickpwn that sucker and enjoy all of those ROMs you have had forever.

I seriously kept mine from when I used to have a PS1. That is the ultimate graphics and gameplay - the PSX emulator.

As far as straight download games - get OpenTTD - it is a supped up SimCity-esque that comes directly from the developer of Rollercoaster Tycoon, etc.

Casual stuff - its Fish Tycoon and iMob

Too bad it has no buttons or I might get one

TapDefense is pretty awesome.

OP has a touch 2G which although faster than the Iphone can only be jailbroken with a tethered crack (redsnow). So no psx emulators, or any other non native software yet.

might wanna edit the title of the thread really. oh well

Hmm Pinball eh.. will check that out for sure
