Ipod Touch 2g is very very impressive! - Page 8

it is worth it: i would pay much more for it. for the meanwhile, if you like arcade games, check out ExZeus but with my precautions: it may not be the best game for the platform, but the price of 1.99$ is right!

took me forever but The Quest is up and reviewed. What a great RPG - classic, well constructed with great role-playing and character development options. TouchMyApps kisses this gem!

I recently purchased an Ipod Touch 2G. It's my first Ipod (not my first mp3 player) and I bought it to combine music, video and PDA functions in one device. Can someone explain to me why so many people trash the sound quality (although it doesn't appear to be the case so much on this site). I was hesitant to buy it (or any Ipod) for a long time because of all of the negatives I had heard in this regard, but when I actually got a chance to listen to it, I found out it sounds good.

People only trashed older gen ipod unless it's iModded or using LOD. Newer gen like Touch 2G, iPhone 3G, Nano 4G and Classic 120GB all used newer DAC, provides better sound. From what i read, it's on par with the best SQ available.

I think if you find exactly the right earphones/headphones for it, it's a great sounding player, and I've been a Sony fan for years! Paired with my IE8, the Touch sounds incredible, with great balance and detail. For my own personal preferences, I prefer the Touch with warmer phones.

The game is Huge and detailed for an touch RPG.! Love it! It did take a while to get used to the movement though. Two others I really like are Wild west guns and HeavyMach, Zen bound is cool also. Oh ya, and the touch sounds pretty decent too, for an ipod

yeah that game rocks. if you can get by the fact that everyone's face looks the same! i am taking a break from work to go do... yeah, you guessed it, The Quest!

sure my Touch is sounding better now after 2 weeks of light usage - doesn't sound anywhere near as bright

I suppose wisdom shows its "my ears getting used to it"

but my Sony that I've had for a while doesn't sound any different than I remembered - just the touch is getting warmer sounding

prob. placebo but sounds good so whos to care ?

interestingly I've found a Video Podcast- just the one that totally crashes my Touch !

David Pogue New York Times Video Podcast - last but one episode - on the Kindle 2 ..

it shows a preview on the Touch but press to play it and it immediately goes to the white apple logo and is completely hung - takes a full reset to get it back to life

all other videos and podcasts play perfectly

what could be in a video file that totally hangs the IPOD ? very odd

political bias probably smashed through the 'open source' components of mobile darwin...
