Sony NWZ-s638 Owners...a question for you

Hello,

I am thinking of purchasing a Sony NWZ-s638 based on all the positive reviews it is receiving...

-What codec / format are you using on the s638 (to achieve the great SQ)?
-does it allow for any lossless?

- I am using Lame -V 2, with -V 0 for my favourite albums.
- No (except for PCM wav)

i am using 100% itunes encoded aac songs 'vbr' at 256 settings. pcm linear is the only lossless it uses. mine is the 4gb player, not the 8gb player, so it is not as spacious for losless

I am using nothing but 320kbps LAME encoded mp3.

And yes, it supports WAV. But that's it. There is also gapless playback with WAV and WAV only.

well, not really gapless: just make a long song with all the timings

I'm pretty sure it is actually gapless with WAV.
