I own the JVC SU-DH-1 and it works great with games. I also own the Astro Gaming Mix Amp which allows you to use voice chat along with it unlike the JVC which doesn't. To me the JVC sounds better but there isn't a night and day difference. The JVC has more bass but I think thats because the JVC was designed for movie viewing and the Astro was designed for competitive play (you don't want too much bass for competitive play).

If I'm not playing a multi-player game online then I always use the JVC. They both have optical in and stereo out by the way.

Panasonic RP-WF6000T is a wireless surround sound headset that is a stellar performer. I liked it so well I bought another one for use with my home theater system. Should be excellent for gaming.

I have got a Creative Dolby/DTS Portable Decoder with Dolby Headphone and Dolby Prologic II Up mix for headphones. Great little device for watching movies. Out of production and was only made for European market (I think so).

The JVC SU-DH1 is priced at $99.99 over at BHphoto.com and the Astro Mix Amp by itself is priced at $129.99 at AstroGaming.com ( I believe that is the only place you can buy the Astro amp). I'm not sure if either of those places ship internationally so you might want to check out those websites to see. Crutchfield.com also sells the JVC SU-DH1 so you can check there as well.
