Restricting audio playback from firefox

Hey headfi, looking for a way to stop firefox from playing any audio.
Cheers.
edit:: as a clarification, asio4all or something similar that restricts all playback is not what I want (may want to game + foobar + surf net at the same time)
edit::: btw, looking for an XP solution (whereas you can just turn firefox down in the mixer for vista)

ive been using Vista for some time now, however i do recall seeing a downloadable program for XP that gives it vista-like per-application volume control

edit: heres an example, though it only has a 7 day trial: http://www.indievolume.com/
