Or even $80 phones...

i've heard better for $30...not much better, but for hundreds less than a pair of beats

I listened to these cans today finally after reading many threads about them. I refused to believe that a set of cans priced so high would be AS BAD as the comments on this forum. My cousin was so excited he got them for Christmas (girlfriend's gift). I gave them a one hour critical listen. Honestly I feel really bad for himfrown.gif. The beats just are THAT BAD. I'm listening to sr225i's at home but, even my 80 bucks mdr-7506 sound much better.

to the JVC thing? IMO they do, the bass is a bit muddy. but other than that the highs are nice and not ear raping, the mids are prevalant unlike the beats. and the bass is still like bloated than the beats.

For a cheap IEM they are the only ones I really suggest to people who aren't willing to spend more then say $20 on a pair of headphones.

I think he was saying hell no to the question of, "Beats by Dr. Dre worth it?" Otherwise he might be crazy o.0

dont buy the beats. i would buy the shure srh750dj headphones or wait for the new shure srh55dj headphones this spring. either way they will blow the beats out of the water.  trust me.

The big reason behind the Marshmellows is you can buy them nearly everywhere. A lot of people won't trust electronics unless you can buy it at Best Buy or Walmart.

yea, I was going to get the klishp s4 at best buy...but I hate bestbuy and dont want them to have my money so hahaha.

Is it just me, or does every 2 day a new guy comes to the forum and makes a post asking wether the Beats are a good purchase? This is wrong for so many reasons...

1) At some point, I just think they're trolling us... I mean not even the Portapros and the Grado SR60i spawn as many threads as these.

2) They NEVER use the search function. I mean really, wth? If you search "Beats" I promise the first 5 threads will be a rage of insults and depreciative reviws. People swearing these are the worst price/quality review ever. Yet every now and then, there it is: a new thread, with the OP wondering if these are any good, completely oblivious to the hundreds like him.

3) Even in a remote country such as mine, where Lord Sennheiser rules alone in audio, we have some place to try the Beats. I know that for the most, sound signatures from various cans feel the same for everyone. Not always, of course, but in general the consensus is alike. So yes, it's normal to want to know what other, more informed, people think, and hoping you will feel the same. But how about just going out there with your best DAP and trying the freaking thing?! They're not hard to find - Dre made sure of that.

4) I urge you, as young as I may be to this community, to please stop reponding with input. It's ridiculous, and you deserve more than to have to say all the time "These suck. Try something else." If you really want to help the OP, as you probably do, just post a link to another quite obvious thread about the Beats, or even just to a search page of "Beats". Or, to the least extent, just say "OP, that's a common and old topic. Use the Search function."
