Very cool, looks like your son getting in love with the hps concept, remind me my first encounter with headphones at age 7. My girlfriend completely destroyed 4 pairs of hps in the last year and she is always coming back to take my indestructible hps, in this rate I'll probably need to get her a pair too.

Of course he often sees me wearing headphones, but up till now he did not actually listen to them, just trying them on and getting them off again soon. But I guess I'm more relaxed with this pair than the others before, so that may come into play as well... nevertheless: a promising start ;-)

yes, a rate of 4/year is more expensive than another pair of the 8.35Ds... and it seems like a real use case for them, much like how JFB came to get his own model... don't know if the story was posted here, I read about it in noblehifi's review:

With a bit of help I'm sure he will find the magic of music by listen to his dad hps.

About the noblehifi's review it is an interesting read and I'm assuming the JFB are the same hps as the GMP 8.35, about the analogy I'll just go with the 911, or the Golf GTI. I'm not really crazy about the DT 770pro, but I've got interested in the HP100 sound.

I've found those guys on youtube doing a great work with their sound reviews, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXD6wFEpYeA in this clip I can easy hear the sound including the high treble peaks of the HD800 and the T1 with my 8.35 connected directly to my Sony Vaio sound card, and this is for me a studio reference hps.

I think he'll be constantly exposed to headphones for the years to come ;-)

As far as I know the JFBs are exactly the same as the standard model, just the styling is different. I like the red accents so I got that model.

Good news! the parts are on the way and I hope this I'll be no problem for me to replace the cable and to take some photos to show this process.
