Anyone heard of Marcon caps?

If so, how do they sound?
I recently picked up a pair of .1µf, 1000WV.DC Marcon oil-caps for cheap from an electronics surplus store. I've been reluctant to use them since I can't find anything about them.
Pic of them on my desk/workbench:


Is it just me, or do they look polarized?

they are famous for their r.o.n. caps, which were later replaced by an improved "i" version-- surely you've heard of the

can't say that i have.

does this mean they're good for audio? and are they polarized? that black stripe is throwing me off, afaik, no oil caps are polarized...
