Just tell PFE about your problem, they should replace it no problem.

 

Interesting, and yes it could be the cable, by how u explain it it does seem to be a loose connection somewhere.

 

I assumed that it might be the driver, as I had the exact same problem with my W2's

Was cutting out, then one day, it stopped, but then the bass on one ear was much less lol

 

I ordered some PFE111's from advancedheadphones.co.uk for €83, though they were, and still are, out of stock. And they have no word yet from their their suppler as to when they'll get a new stock. They don't even have them up on the store any more.

I am getting impatient, as I really want some new ones!! But the price I have them on order for is €46 less than the next price up!

I don't know how long I should wait it out. it's already been over 3 weeks already!

Mate - I do have some PFE 112's which i got from Audeo up for sale for £60 (not incl shipping) - just sayin ;)

yes, I do actually have your sale bookmarked. I'll probably give it another week or 2, as I did have my heart set on the white ones!

Back in the PFE family. :)  As the years have gone by, my inner ear has grown extremely sensitive and unfortunately could no longer tolerate the pressure the  various foam tips put on the inner ear canals... so I'm currently selling off my SE530's (which I love and would have never parted with if I didn't have this problem) and have repurchased the PFE's as the extremely soft Phonak silicone tips are the only eartips that gave me any sort of long term comfort with IEM's.

 

And fortunately the sound is as good as I remember it.   Really enjoy the clean mid centric sound it gives me with the grey filters.

mkay, so nobody has experience using comply T100 instead of the T130 'made for phonak'? (comply is ironically cheaper to buy from comply with their 2012 coupon).

Are there phonaks with mic that work with Android phones (I have Galaxy S), if not, do the iPhone version work with some kind of adapter or something?

 

I need new headset, and the only other choice that i have found is the klipsch image s4a which is supposed to work, how do they compare?

I can't confirm it, but you might need an adapter to use Phonak on the Galaxy S. Some Samsung will work without adapter but the older one will likely need the adapter. You can get either the MEElec TRRS adapter or FiiO LU1.

I had some PFE 122's (mic & black) and for some reason my S1 would make it conflict with the PFE's making the PFE's at 15% volume and significantly less SQ - Then I pressed the MIC button, and out of nowhere the SQ came out and so did the volume.

 

I'm on JW1 firmware, rooted, on JetPack ROM

How would the Audeo PFE 111/112s compare with the Shure 215s? Tempted to get these guys, but not sure if it will be an upgrade.

Hmmm, funnily only my westone comply tips fit lol (long and thick). The rest had shocking comfort or just didn't hold in my ears. (T100 i think). The included foamies and shure olives both fit but weren't long or wide enough. (shure needs to be fitted very carefully not to split the inner plastic stem)

The black filter was the only listenable ones (and for some reason phonak included black and grey only, no green lol), with grey sounding too bright. It's interesting how much the filter cuts the overall volume as well (if you remove it when playing music).

Not sure if I like the amount of bass (not enough...could use bass boost i guess, but eh), or that it seems to exagerate T/S on some songs (which are already produced in a way that slightly exaggerates them on UM Mage or SM3x6). Otherwise it's fairly good. The over the ear silicon tubes are annoying at first, but after you fit them correctly and get used to them they turn out fairly ok as well.

I'm thinking these would probably also take sensorcom soft silicon double falange or cut off single falange tips.

One more thing - you can feel the cable when bumped (it's probably not so much microphonic, but more too thick and actually tugs on the IEMs)...

I prefer them to Se425 when used with the black filter. The bass is probably deeper/more present on shures, but 112 is a lot more detailed and clear sounding.

Ordered a pair of the 132's with mic and volume adjustment.  I remember the original having the Phonaks and not really liking either the grey or black filters for sound.   Neither provided the "thump" I was looking for.  

 

Took a chance again with Phonak with the 132's, but now I have my EQ set to rock on my iPhone.   My tastes must have changed over the years, because they sound amazing with the black filters.   Also, the comfort can't be beat.  I tried the SE215s, but the cable was really irritating.   To me, the 132's provide the perfect balance of clarity and enough bass impact.   Really happy with my purchase.   

For me the rock eq is not necessary. Besides I find EQs with iPhones really mess up the sound of the music.

 

If bass isn't something your looking for, the PFE's are an immediate win/choice
