Battery Powered Portable Radio for a small home

Station: NYC NPR Stations: news radio

Uses:
Shower Radio
Kitchen Radio
Alarm Clock
Maybe iPhone 3G music source if I don't end up getting a dedicated iPhone speaker system.

Is there anything better than a Tivoli iSongbook for my uses?

It needs to be battery powered and somewhat shower steam resistant because there are no outlets in my bathroom and I like taking steamy showers.

I know the dock won't work with my iPhone 3G but it does have AUX input. I like that the iSongbook will recharge nimh AA batteries.

Looking at the iSongbook and the Altec IMT702... the iPhone compatibility is very tempting as well as the sound quality.
