Paypal help: cheapest way to do Paypal-to-Paypal credit transfer?

Hey everybody,

so the Live Cashback thing finally deposited the money into my old Paypal account. The "old" Paypal account is in my father's name, and recently I have made an account with my own name on it.

I know from past experience that Paypal likes to take a chunk out of transfers, and I'm trying to see if I can avoid that this time. The "old" account is now Unverified, while my account is Verified. Both are of the "Premier" type, if that means anything.

So is their a way to bypass Paypal's greed, or am I just going to have to deal with it once more?

Thanks in advance.

Use echeck. It doesn't matter how much money you send, 1$ or 1000$, the fee is always 5$. It will take 5 days for the payment clears though.

Is that possible? I only ask that because the credit I want to transfer is in the "Unverified" account, and it's not linked to the bank account.

Hmm, if it doesn't link to a bank account, I don't think it's possible. You can try the PayPal Masspay. I haven't tried it but the fee is supposed to be very low, 1$ or so I think.

send it over to me, and I'll see what I can do.

Argh, I just looked over that Mass Payment option, and the thing that went through my head was "wuuut?"

I guess at this rate I'll just take the percentage hit. I forgot, is it 5% or 7%. I think last time I checked it was close to 8%.

@Rednamalas1: Glad to see you're still making your rounds around here.

Yeah, it's kinda complicated and I never use it lol. But what is 8%?

I would look up who that person is (sounds familiar), but the Internet right now is flimsier than a BOSE headband.

And no, I was going to use this money for selfish purposes; makes me feel better a lot easier.

This cashback is from the Westone 3, so it's ~$120. Eight percent of that would be ~$10 gone in the transition process.

If it was a reference to anything, it still flies over my head. But hey, it's all the about the dessert in the end, no?

Oh, one more question. Does it really matter what option you pick:
  • Goods
  • Services/Other
  • eBay Items
  • Cash Advance
As in, does it have an impact on the percentage hit, or are those choices there just for kicks, or...?

Not sure if it matters, but I'd do goods / services and not ebay items.

Mm, good idea, because there could be more delays in the transfer due to security (anti-scamming) steps.

Of course this is all speculation, and I can't find squat about this on Google.
