No, I believe one of members here mentioned that UK dealers expect delievery date as April, March if they are lucky.

But that is the UK, not US

I assume all the world distributors will receive HD800s in same/similar days....

=( Let's hope the US gets their shipment in before the yookay.

Sorry, but I am finding Sennheiser's lack of communication quite annoying, and arrogant. Since we have a collective IQ somewhat above room temperature, some information for those of us who do support their product launch, with hard earned $$$$ (that we CAN spent elsewhere, if needed), would be the LEAST they can do.

Silly me.

To be honest, being quiet is at least much better than screw around and piss off its customers (anyone remember that infamous 'HD580-printed drivers in HD650' incident?)

Perhaps the PS1000's annoucement will light a fire under Senn's management to get the HD800's out.

Or perhaps not, since the the PS1000's would be like Sennheiser releasing pics of an aluminum clad HD650 without any other real information.

All, I know, is that Sennheiser is picking bad month to release the HD800 if they release it in April in the states. hinttaxtimehint

I see this all a marketing muck-up, given, from what we hear (40 units a day, started last Monday), that about 400 units sit ready, but...

My guess is some marketing weenie wants their 15 minutes in the spotlight.

Maybe, just maybe, all of the shipments to a given country go out in a container all at the same time to clear customs. It's not like they are using DHL.

There's no way of knowing what a company is or is not doing. It's like when you bust your hump at work, and some boss who doesn't really know you, says "what have you been doing all of this time".

Just like all of the speculations of cost are being stated in the Grado thread. How the heck does anyone know what it cost to bring something to someone's living room?

All speculation and succotash!

Let's hope like hell that isn't being cleared @ Logan, eh?

My point exactly - since we have about $140k in US pre-orders for the "first batch", some communication would be nice - but, being nice to customers is, at the moment, escaping Sennheiser.

I agree with pabbi1 on this one. Sennheiser is a weird and arrogant company, methinks. The HD800, even if it turns out brilliant, doesn't make up for this.
