now i am not particularly a taylor swift fan, give me my classic rock or metal anyday.. but from an sound quality perspective, her vocals are very good i think. im very new to being an audiophile, but surely this cd has good production. any thoughts?

I'm a huge Taylor Swift fan from day 1. Her first album was great, and her second one is even better. I've listened to the latest album "Fearless" so many times and I'm still not bored of it.

Something about her vocals just touches my heart. True, others may have better vocals (perhaps Carrie Underwood?), but for some reason I really like hearing her. Sometimes these things are unexplainable.

I think her main strength is in her lyrics. She wrote (or co-wrote) most of songs from the heart and that's another reason why I like it so much.

EDIT: I think she also helped design the CD booklet.

You see her on SNL? She sucked. She cannot sing.

im not a huge fan of her, i think some songs from her tho are pretty cool tho. i go, oh, thats not bad. i find her songs kinda catchy. i think thats why im not completely turned off by her.

i saw her perform at a local casino when she was 16 --- not that long ago. talk about shameless promotion. i didnt think 16 year olds were allowed in casinos. I guess only if a record company is pushing your adolescent good looks.

Shameless.

Her production is too shiny and artificial sounding for me, there's very little character. This is a problem with most mainstream production. As a singer, she's pretty average. I saw her on SNL, and she was horrible, but I've caught better performances by her on TV. What she does have going for her is that I believe she writes her own songs, not that they're very good, but there's some room for growth at least, she's not complete hemmed in.

ah yeah just heard the snl performance. absolutly horrific. but just the way the vocals are compressed and mixed on fearless sound quite good, artificial, but good.

yea, i agree with hiphopscribe. shes very young. so theres definitely more room in the future for her to improve.

NO

Her handlers need to tone down her image. She looks more like an adult film star.

Im going to write an info paper about how you need amps for higher end headphones, and why you need higher quality audio types. I only have 45 mins to write a 5 paragraph paper. Advice?

Ummm, lower distortion, i.e.THD, IM

lower output impedance for higher damping factor therefore lower distortion from the headphone itself at low frequencies.

Less power supply noise.

More power, hence more headroom.

Better SNR (Signal to Noise Ratio).
