CAN COMPARIONS (Showdown) : Grado SR-325i vs. Allesandro MS-1 vs. Senn HD485 vs. HD600 vs. DT880 - Page 2

nice comparison! i have owned the ms2i before and the detail really was impressive. the highs were smooth but i could not tolerate these cans for long listening sessions, and it wasn't because of the comfort. i would agree on the 325 and dt880 impressions as i have had extended listening experiences with them

i'm a bit surprised on the lack of mids on the hd600. do you find a similar trait in the hd650? vocals on the hd650 are one-of-a-kind: eerie and much more realistic than the dt880. that is the main reason why i am keeping them with the dt880 as the dt880 wins everywhere else. i do not have a long audition time with the hd600, i think i have forgotten how they sound like...

the addition of the dt990 would be a nice touch to the comparo

great guide for those on the hunt for alternative cans! i can easily relate to your descriptions and grading system...

Was it the HD595 in your comparison, or the HD485? I'm a bit confused.
